AS Level and A Level

8th April 2020 by careerAdmin

How GCSEs, AS & A levels will be awarded in summer 2020

Cancellation of Summer 2020 Exams

GCSE and A Level exams will not take place this year.

There are two key elements to Ofqual’s strategy to overcome this:

See the summary (below) of the guidance released by Ofqual regarding GCSE and A Level Exams 2020 on Friday 3rd April

  • Centre assessed grades (predictions)
  • A rank order of students within each grade for every subject

and Ofqual’s letter to students

There is also a useful infographic explaining the process below

and a useful video for students produced by Ofqual

These are unprecedented times and Ofqual are endeavouring to do the right thing for all young people, in a way that is fair and ethical for all students in the country.

We will play our part in this process following the government guidance robustly and using our professionalism to contribute to the careers information advice and guidance around your options and opportunties.
